The Happy Bakery’s Blueberry Cheesecake

It was raining hard earlier today, which forced me to turn towards the corner stall of Happy Bakery and warm myself up with perhaps a  slice of happiness (and fat) or two. I feel like going through every cake Happy Bakery has. Hmm, maybe I really should do that, no? Well, let this be the official start of my cake adventures with The Happy Bakery. :)

Jamba Juice To-Go

Because I’m craving for some Jamba Juice goodness this Holy Week, I went to Jamba Juice at Bonifacio Global City a few hours ago. Good thing they are open during Holy Thursday and Good Friday. Bad thing is that it’s overcrowded as it’s one of the few open stores in Bonifacio High Street during Good Friday.

A Happy Girl at The Happy Bakery

The Happy Bakery

I’ve been eyeing this little bakery corner in GT Tower ever since I started having lunch in the building. But being the ever-so-weight-conscious me, I shied away from the tempting cakes and cupcakes lining up the glass display. That didn’t stop me, however, from hanging out near their area and snoop around  I would usually hang out around the area, ask the staff if they bake everyday–gotta be sure if they’re fresh. :) And they do bake them everyday.

MedChef’s Red Velvet Cake

The name MedChef doesn’t seem to be as fitting a name for a company that churns out wonderfully-crafted baked goodies. I can’t help myself from associating them with medicinal food or something just ’cause their name is a wee bit out of the box–for me, that is.

But then I did my research and found out that the two people behind MedChef came up with this name because they also came from two different backgrounds. One is a true-blue culinary person, Chef Hasset Go. The other is medical technologist Jayson Paul Carlos. You would think that it’s an odd team, but it works. :)
