What’s new with Krispy Kreme? Aside from the existence of Chloe The Hotlight Girl, Our favorite donut store recently introduced the Mango Kreme Cake and Chiller! This newest sweet treat was launched in-time for the Mother’s Day Celebration.

The Mango Kreme Cake costs around Php 42 per piece while the Mango Chiller 12oz is Php 125. It is very much perfect for Mother’s Day!

By tomorrow, the Krispy Kreme Vote 2010 donuts will be introduced. Registered voters have the chance to get free doughnuts! Will post more details later

Krispy Kreme Obsession

If you haven’t noticed yet, around here at Patay Gutom, we’re obsessed with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Just the smell of a freshly made batch of original glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts is enough to make our mouths water and our hearts flutter in excitement.

Craving for some hot coffee and Krispy Kreme doughnuts one Saturday night, my girlfriend and I passed by the branch on Bonifacio High Street – it was already way past bedtime for a lot of the kids there who were still running around, high on sugar. Lol!

After a couple of doughtnuts – Choco Cake and NY Cheese Cake – and a cup of smooth brewed coffee each, we were much the same, laughing and giddy, except that we kept to our seats. Hehe. (Sorry, we each took a bite already from the NY Cheese Cake doughnut when I remembered to take a photo!)

Before we left, (a bit disappointed we didn’t get any freebie doughnuts) we bought a dozen more to bring home to our families so that we can all be one-big-sugar-high-happy family.

This whole box of mouth watering Original glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts below is reserved for PG Jehzlau who celebrated his birthday last week – he says it’s his favorite! Belated HBD! (super late na hehe). Penge ng isa ha.

Krispy Kreme’s Chocolate Karnival Treat

Did you know that one of the Patay Gutom respondents consider one of the biggest branch of Krispy Kreme as her second home? Did you know that the founder of this oh-so-mouth-watering blog can finish a box of Krispy Kreme donut in just one sitting? Did you know that our one and only donut monster lined up during the opening of the Mall of Asia and Gateway branch? Did you know that some of the members of the group actually spent their April Fools Day at Krispy Kreme?

Ok, fine. We are certfied Krispy Kreme addicts that’s why we were really happy when our favorite branch changed its outdoor glass one day with a chocolate-y like look.

A few weeks ago, the Chocolate Karnival donuts was introduced to the public and as expected, the PG respondents went to their favorite Krispy Kreme branch to have a taste.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Are Worth Dying For!

These youngsters won 1 year and 6 months free supply of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts respectively (1 year for the 1st placer half year for the 2nd placer). These kids were there 3 days before the opening of Krispy Kreme Mall of Asia (But someone from Gateway KK already broke the record last month and was there for 4 days prior to the opening of Gateway KK).

These were the real Patay Gutoms. Often tagged by unknown strangers as Pathetic Sugar Maniacs or PSM. This was a very very very late post, happened last September 5, 2008 at Krispy Kreme Mall of Asia.

3:00 AM: Snoring, sleeping, still waiting for Krispy Kreme to open at 10:00 AM.

4:00 AM: Others were awake, but the majority were still sleeping.

5:00 AM: Five hours left before the opening.

6:00 AM: Everyone was excited. Everyone stood up

7:00 AM: Others sat down again because they were tired of standing, I think.

8:00 AM: Still waiting… 2 Hours more to Go!

9:00 AM: Almost there! Dividers are now present to organize the sugar maniacs.

10:00 AM: Finally! Krispy Kreme was open after a long wait! Yiheeee!

The Verdict: This is what I got after waiting for 7 long hours. How pathetic am I? Hehehe.
