Eat my GF

Don’t believe this sign? Well, you better.

We were headed to Ronac for the release event of the Air Jordan XI when a friend said she wants to try Eat My GF. “For real?” I said. Well, believe it. Yes, there’s actually a food stall who boldly named their business Eat my GF. It sounds nasty and lewd and provocative alright, but GF actually stands for Garlic Fries. Pretty smart, huh? They really know how to get people’s attention!

Making Restaurant Hunting Easy: Zomato on iPhone

Thursday, November 22nd, 2012

Everyone feel a bit irked when our friends can’t decide where to eat, and they end up spending thirty minutes to an hour just arguing and going through our choices. More often than not, this results in them going back to eating at the same place for lunch every day, and when they do decide to “try something new”, they end up visiting some other restaurant that they haven’t visited in a while. It’s different, but by no means is it new.

Luckily, just about everyone has a smartphone now, and this amazing device has helped millions of foodies across the world. Gaming Realms, the company behind that recently launched Spin Genie, has said that “There were an estimated 1 billion Smartphone users at the end of 2012, representing 17% of total mobile users”, and this figure has continually grown. Studies even show that by 2015, there could be close to 2 billion smartphone users. In the Philippines, with cheaper smartphone lines like MyPhone and Cherry Mobile available, the smartphone penetration rate is expected to hit 50% by 2015.

Playing Favorites: Mexicali

Thursday, June 28th, 2012

Mexicali is one of my favorite affordable restaurants in Manila. I’ve been here so many times already but I feel like this is only the first time I saw their logo. Perhaps its because I don’t really browse their menu and instead choose to pick what I’m having via the massive board above the cashier? I could be wrong though. Tell me, is this really their logo? Or is this a new one? 😀

I Love Backyard BBQ

Sunday, March 25th, 2012

We’ve had lunch before at I Love Backyard BBQ, but I decided against blogging about that experience because I really hated the burger that was served to me. Cam and I were supposed to go on a KKL (kanya-kanyang lunch-out) ’til we heard some of our lunchmates are going to Bento Box–and so we tagged along. 🙂

The Makati branch is near Chocolate Fire. It’s a bit hidden and tucked away so even though the restaurant can get packed, the scene outside remains calm and quiet. I wish our office was located here. No bystanders, no smokers, no whatever. 😀
