Just last Sunday, a number of bloggers were stranded in Dumaguete City because the plane left them
Ok, I admit that I am one of the bloggers who unintentionally stayed overnight in Dumaguete City, but I have no regrets. In fact, the rest of the group took this opportunity to gallivant and explore the city of Dumaguete.
If Cebu is best known for the dried mangoes and danggit, Dumaguete City is best-known for its sweets like the Sans Rival cake and Silvanna’s. The most in-demand establishment is no other than the Sans Rival Cakes and Pastries.
A lot of bloggers were gushing about how delicious the silvanna is. I have to admit that it was my first time to taste one. For Php10 per piece, we were all satisfied and even ordered some to take home to Manila. The Sansrival cake is also delicious. It reminded me of the Sans Rival of Lachi’s in Davao.
For my merienda, I ordered the Sans Rival Spagetti. Some of us thought that the sauce to be used in the pasta is the Sans rival icing hahaha
One of us ordered a Chicken Sandwich. The rest ate slices of Sans Rival and pieces of Silvanna’s.
The place is also quiet and relaxed. It is perfect for those who need quality time while reading a book or working on their laptops. If you are in Dumaguete City, don’t you ever forget to passby this place!

wow mukhang masarap ma stranded dito! hehe
di kaba kasama nila?
Definitely agree with you on this. As their name says, their sylvannas are without rival.
I’ve learned not to tell my officemates when I go home to Dumaguete.. one time they asked me to bring sylvannas and i ended up bringing 14 boxes! oh well, at least masaya sila hehehe…
yeah, sobrang sarap talaga ng sylvanna’s nila, walang katapat, no wonder the place is really famous in Dumaguete, when I was there, dyan ako dinala nung driver when I asked him san pwede bumili ng masarap na pasalubong from Dumaguete… and end up regretting that I don’t buy more boxes of sylvanna’s…
I’m not a big fan of sans rival but i’d like to try their cakes.
Mukhang napakasarap ma-stranded sa Sans Rival Cakes And Pastries!
Nakakagutom, I really like this post!!!
@u8mypinkcookies – Try it and i bet you won’t regret it
@Bern – True hehe.
Can we exchange link? I have a google page rank of 5/10 and you are 4/10. Just let me know. Thanks…..:P
Masarap dyan…dyan kami kumain noon.. basta healthy food lang ha..
