Welcome back, Green Tomato!

Monday, April 30th, 2012

Imagine my surprise when I saw my workmate walking up to our table at the GT Tower with this tray and a big plate of pasta. Immediately, I asked where he bought his lunch ’cause it was an unfamiliar dish. We’ve been dining far too often there, obviously, that’s why. 😀

The second he mentioned Green Tomato, I flipped out in excitement.

A Bacolod Must: Pepe’s

Saturday, February 25th, 2012

Sorrento is this happening block of restaurants and bar in Lacson Street that caught our attention from the get-go. For one, this seems to be the place to be happy and wild–kidding. There was no visible parking area, but when we asked the security guard where we could park, he pointed to the sidewalk. Yes, we parked on the road. Well, it’s actually the loading/unloading area. Oh well, the building guard gave us permission.

Stumbling Upon Cafe Bob’s

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012

Before we went to Bacolod, I was already scouring the web for good restaurants to try. One of the restaurants that caught my attention was Cafe Bob’s. Although I made a mental note of this restaurant before we left Manila, I completely forgot about this until I actually caught a glimpse of their nameplate. Even funnier is that we ended up eating here only because the restaurant we really wanted to try (across the street) was filled to the brim.

Pizza, Pasta and Pasto

Pasto, Paseo Center

Pasto, which I first got to try with the boyfriend last year, is slowly inching its way on top of my list of favorite restaurants solely for its affordable pastas and thin crust pizzas.

Their Paseo Center branch is on the third floor, which is pretty hard to miss when you’re not up for riding the escalator and up the stairs to the mezzanine-like third floor. But since we all have a certain fondness toward their dishes, we didn’t notice the stairs. 😛

Sushi Pizza Maki @ Tempura Japanese Grill

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

Last weekend, me and a couple of friends decided to eat at Tempura Japanese Grill in Robinson’s Place Midtown. And by ‘a couple of friends’, I meant they’re really a couple. 3rd wheel yet again. Yay for me. Good thing there’s some Japanese food to keep me company.
