A Happy Girl at The Happy Bakery

The Happy Bakery

I’ve been eyeing this little bakery corner in GT Tower ever since I started having lunch in the building. But being the ever-so-weight-conscious me, I shied away from the tempting cakes and cupcakes lining up the glass display. That didn’t stop me, however, from hanging out near their area and snoop around  I would usually hang out around the area, ask the staff if they bake everyday–gotta be sure if they’re fresh. 🙂 And they do bake them everyday.

Best yema cake ever! 🙂

When I was having lunch with my officemate, she quickly mentioned that she had The Happy Bakery’s yema cake the day before and attested to its goodness. And so I budged and got myself a slice. For Php65, this is what you get. If you’re not too selfish with your dessert, this can actually be shared by two. I shared this with my officemate, although I ate the most portions. 😀

I like this cake a lot because although its yema, it’s surprisingly not too sweet.  It doesn’t hurt that they didn’t hold back on the serving too. 🙂 The icing’s a bit different from what you’re probably used to because it has a grainy texture, like it wasn’t beaten well enough.

What I love about The Happy Bakery is that they also have soup, salads, sandwiches and fruits. They really have everything, noh? Well, except for rice meals. 🙂

Best Yema I have tasted so far was from Geicks, but this one looks yummy and interesting! For some reason I love grainy icing 😉 I better check this one out, thank you for sharing this post 🙂
